As part of BookWomen magazine’s 30th anniversary, I led a complete redesign of the publication to refresh its visual identity while preserving the thoughtful, literary tone readers have trusted for over three decades. The magazine has a deeply loyal subscriber base across the U.S., Canada, and the U.K., and serves as a space to celebrate women’s writing, the joy of reading, and the community built through literature. The redesign aimed to create a more modern, readable, and cohesive layout, one that elevates contributor-driven content while honoring the publication’s grassroots spirit. I introduced a new typographic system, restructured page templates for clarity and consistency, and established visual hierarchy to better guide the reading experience. The refreshed design brings a sense of warmth, elegance, and accessibility, while supporting the magazine’s continued mission to amplify women’s voices and celebrate the reading life.
